Ozzie Noserider
The Ozzie is my interpretation of a modern noserider. There are several inspirations that this board draws on. From the G&S Stretch model from the 60s, my PMP, and a board built by Peter "Chops" Lascelles, which was based on the Australian boards he grew up on.
It features a rear widepoint, modern rocker and foil, pinched out 50/50s and a deep nose concave. They come standard with a blunt nose, but can have a more traditional round nose if desired. However, the square nose keeps the forward outline straighter which allows longer noserides, and faster trim speeds. The hips are not as extreme as the PMP, but they still turn well off the tail and reward a traditionally agressive approach.
Best sized 8'10" - 10' and comes with a heavy Volan glass job for that neo-traditional feel and modern glide.
Prices start at $850 for a clear, polish and finbox only.
Custom glass on fins, tints and artwork are optional extras.
